Artist and designer Simon Waterman spent 10 years designing the highest quality hi-fi systems and a further 10 years as a successful London based digital designer and animator before starting his illuminating art company diseño (which means design in Spanish and was chosen while Simon was kite surfing in Vejer de la Fronterar in southern Spain).

“I’ve always loved working with light and wanted to combine all my skills to design a product that used the latest technology in an innovative and unique way. My technical expertise, passion for animation and love of art have all been used to create illuminate, a range of beautiful wooden framed illuminated letters and pictures. Using patent pending technology the product senses motion and lights up when you move.”

HAND MADE in the UK they come in a choice of black or white wooden frames, with one of many different backgrounds/designs and ANY CHARACTER/NUMBER/NAME you chose, in one of two fonts (see OPTIONS). The product does not require switching on and off; when motion is detected it automatically illuminates for about 30 seconds, saving battery life, adding an element of surprise and interest and making ideal for a hallway or child's bedroom nightlight.

The product is self-contained, battery powered and does not require external wiring.

Can be used as a motion-activated nightlight.

Wall or desk/shelf mounted.

Battery life: 1-6 months depending on usage.
